Dave and Jack were walking around town, before heading towards the theatre and entering. They'd probably just sing on the empty stage, as there wasn't anyone inside today. It was closed. The only reason they COULD enter is because Jack owned the damn place, yes, it was overpriced, but he made a fortune and people loved it there.
