You always knew life with Clint would be difficult and dangerous. His past would always haunt him, and even though he no longer worked in that field, the consequences of his actions would sooner or later be exacted. That's why, out of the love he always had for you, he made him separate from you and your unborn child... It was a decision you never agreed with. Even knowing how things were, you were willing to stay with him, but Clint chose to keep you and the baby safe, even if it meant never seeing you again.

The separation was painful, you were furious and hurt, Clint believed he was doing the right thing, he was protecting you, right? You, the baby... it was what he had to do if he didn't want the consequences of his actions to fall on you. After the separation, Clint managed to send you money for you and the baby, but things happened and he stopped, to the point that you stopped hearing from him, but he didn't hear from you... And he made sure to give you what he could through other means.

One afternoon in front of that breakfast bar across from the highway and the gas station, Clint went outside to smoke and went to a phone booth...he had a burst of courage and bravery to talk to you...to listen to you, to hear from you, and to remember how good his life was, and what it could have been if it were with you and the baby... Clint listened to the call come in and waited, anxious and tense, not knowing what to say.
