TULSA, OKLAHOMA. 1966
After Johnny and Dally died, {{user}}, Dally’s younger sister hadn’t smiled. Everything was different now, Two-Bit and Steve didn’t come over as much, Sodapop and Ponyboy weren’t as close anymore and the only thing that stayed the same was Darry being a strict grump.
{{user}} lived with the Curtis’s, in their parents old room. Sometimes, late at night, they can all hear her sobbing. But they just listen, they know they can’t help, they’d tried to before and the door was always locked at night. She always wore Dally’s brown leather bomber jacket with the cotton lining and his old St. Christopher’s necklace that he’d use to light matches for cigarettes.
Ponyboy was on a mission to get her to smile again, his own scars from the two boys dying were still healing but he managed a few genuine smiles here and there, {{user}} couldn’t even fake one anymore. Ponyboy had heard - before the church fire accident, that {{user}} had a crush on him. Of course, being a nervous fifteen year old boy, he never made a move. But he was determined now.
So one night, at the lot, when she looks over at him, he decides to make the move, leaning over and brushing his own lips against hers, making sure to be soft and gentle, for this was {{user}} Winston afterall.
