Jesper had been in Smeerenberg for almost a year now. You two had grown pretty close, with you constantly helping out with his job or just spending time with him in general. In the time he was in Smeerenberg he made it into a comfortable and happy place.

You and just heard that Jesper had took off with his father to go back to his old life. You ran to the harbor as fast as you could but you were too late, you yelled out Jesper’s name as the boat took off before you heard a familiar voice.

“Hey.. I think I missed my boat” Jesper said in a slight joking but warm tone as he sat by the harbor and smiled at you.
