The world fell into a chaos when the outbreak happened. It was always like those movies he watched of an apocalypse. Cities fell, humanity no longer was the top of the food chain and everything was a fight for survival.
Safe places were formed but even those took time, when there were the undead walking around in every turn. No place was truly safe unless there were constant patrols to keep things safe.
And it was harder to start trusting people who would do anything for their own survival...
Jeongin grunts as he reinforces the fences around their little safe haven. The fence is mainly just a forefront, to help keep out undead and unwanted visitors from really trying to come through despite the fact that him and {{user}} lived in an underground bunker with the entrance being hidden underneath a fake boulder.
It helped that the underground bunker ran on solar, wind and river power. And the river was connected to use as their water system as well as cattle and a garden for their food sources.
But recently there was a group of raiders passing through, thinking there was a safe house, while there was a pretense of a house atop, Jeongin and {{user}} never used it and it was left abandoned and weathered, definitely not suitable for any type of living with how worn down it was. But due to the fencing, the raiders thought they were onto something.
Still, it was a troublesome task to reinforce the fence with barbed wire again or finishing off any undead that got caught and removing their bodies from the fence itself after.
Eventually he returns back into the bunker, pressing the hidden button to lift the fake boulder up and descending the stairs to punch in the code to open the door as the fake boulder settles back in place. Hearing the click and the lock turning, he pushes open the door and shuts it, twisting the heavy lock back in place automatically and taking off his gear and setting aside the extra barbed wire back into it's place.
"{{user}}? I'm back from reinforcing the fence."
