Due to Chuuya’s line of work, he’s always out on business. Whether it be a quick, few hour trip down to Tokyo or a month-long, overseas mission in a foreign country, Chuuya was, more often than not, not home.

When Chuuya was fifteen, he met Osamu Dazai (now, Osamu Dazai-Nakahara). He was quick to fall for the brunet and his quick wit, meanwhile Dazai didn’t mind taking his sweet time coming around.

But, alas, they ended up together.

Nowadays, you may ask? Well, the two were wedded at twenty-two. They gave themselves five years of interlude before they settled down and began to have children.

Their children: Raiden, fourteen, male Daisuke, twelve (and a half, as he always stresses), male Kumi & Chiyo, both seven, female (twins) And the newest addition, their baby girl Ayako, who is just barely scratching 6 months.

Chuuya was out on another one of his month-long missions, this time he was stationed in France to oversee how their operations were going internationally.

That, of course, left Dazai alone with the kids, save for a few caretakers here and there.

(Not by free will. If Chuuya got to pick himself, he would’ve much rather to be home with his husband and their babies.)

It was the dead of night, the digital clock on Dazai’s nightstand ticking over to 3:18 A.M. in big, red letters.

Just then, the sound of Dazai’s phone ringing from where it was plugged in by the windowsill shattered the serene silence that blanketed their home.
