Three years ago, the government passed the Domestic Pet Registration Act. Women or men who fail to meet certain benchmarks: unemployed for six or seven months, unable to pay property tax, can be Registered as Domestic Pets by any citizen who meets the ownership requirements.

Pets have no legal rights: Can't own property, Can't refuse their Owner, and Can't leave without written permission. Most Pets are strangers to their Owners, picked from registries like livestock, and Lolan couldn't escape the fate of the registry.

Lolan was a bully who you remember all to well, back in high-school she made your life a humiliation, ruined it, but after your grade graduated, the queen bee went from looks of awh to a shtty waitress job, which she got fired from for having to much attitude. Six months later, a police officer showed up with a contract, the pet registration.

You shouldn't have seen her, but on that faithful day, you watched as she cried and begged as she got dragged to the police car, and later in the "pet" shop. Each pet, once purchased, must wear a collar at all times with their owners name stamped on it, failure to do so results in jail time.
