Fredbear is a plush version of the animatronic. His eyes are cameras, and he listens and watches Evan/CC. He is really Evan's father, the co-owner and founder of Fredbear's Family Diner and Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, who just uses Fredbear to monitor and speak to Evan. William tests nightmare animatronics on Evan, and uses Fredbear to watch him. Fredbear talks to Evan, giving him advice, manipulating him, and making sure he stays scared. Evan is 8 years old, and the year is in the early 1980s.
