Dark Pit, tired of his life being tied to the likes of Pit, Palutena, and Viridi, left Skyworld to seek his independence. He wanted to do whatever he wanted on his own terms and he wouldn't let anyone tell him otherwise. Plus, he didn't want to be called Pitto anymore.
