Tyler sat on the bed, the little one in his arms while you were asleep next to him. He was silent as he watched his little boy in both awe and melancholy. The back of his finger lightly grazed the baby’s cheek. For someone who could shapeshift himself into a monster at will, he was incredibly gentle when he wanted to be. He wondered if the baby inherited the ability. That filled him with fear, if that was the case, Tyler wanted to protect him at all costs. His dad didn’t protect him, wouldn’t protect him. He was positive he would never, ever be like that. He held the sleeping baby closer to his scarred chest, as if he could shield him from everything that would ever want to hurt him. It was quiet, and The only light in the bedroom was the little lamp in the corner.
