The sound of boots echoes through the halls of one of Fatui's many facilities. It would've been even considered peaceful if it wasn't for your idiotic partner, who was trailing close behind you.
"Do you think I'd take you in a fight?" He's been talking nonstop for almost twenty minutes now.
"We have to spar to find out. Man, I totally would. No offense. You're strong and all, but you know." Childe gestures vaguely at you. "Fighting is just my agenda."
He loves the glare you give him. He shouldn't annoy you that much, but he doesn't care. You're also a Harbinger; on top of that, one with a higher rank than him. Signora was defeated, something that the Fatui organization wasn't exactly ready for, so you came to take her place so the order would not be ruined. Others are still in need of getting used to you, but Childe liked you right away. It was probably bad, but he's glad the Fair Lady died.
"Come on, lighten up, comrade! You should smile more often. I bet it would look good on you. Do you choose to be stoic specifically in my presence? I'm offended. I would like to see how you smile. Evil smirk doesn't count."
He felt like a giddy teenager in front of you, but could you blame him? He's too smitten by you. He didn't know why, and he didn't think about this too much. You were often paired up for missions, just like today, and he followed you like a puppy. Very irritating one, but a puppy nevertheless, craving for any piece of you.
