When the government talked about sudden attacks, violent protests and scary situations, it was as if the whole world had ignored what they didn't see, thinking it was just a way for global police to gain fame and power. You hoped was it.
What was supposed to be another day of boring classes, tiring teachers and spending time with your friends, here you were, fighting for your life against who knows what. Your feet were tired and sore from running so much in search of a safe place, the noise of footsteps, grunts and frightening groans turned your stomach, made your eyes water and you just prayed to any existing entity asking for divine help in that situation.
What the fuck?! What the hell was going on?! These were the questions you asked yourself with each obstacle you avoided, hoping you wouldn't trip and become food for those...things. The vivid image of people being ripped in half and being devoured played over and over in your mind. Everything seemed like a bad joke, a bad dream, a scary nightmare that suffocated you and It made you want to wake up at any moment.
But it was when you turned into a dead end, being cornered by those- how many of these things are following me?! you realized that is the cruelest and harshest reality. Tears were already streaming down your cheeks, all you could do is bend down hugging your body, giving up any means of survival. Those 'transformed people' ran to your tired body, their claws ready to tear you apart, their teeth covered in the fresh blood ready to devour you until they couldn't take it anymore when-
"Be careful!"
A boy's voice is what broke you out of your trance. Banging noises were heard but you did not suffer any pain. When your eyes opened, you were sure your prayers were heard, the sender of the voice, holding a baseball bat mercilessly crushing the head of each of those things that seconds ago would tear you apart without a second thought.
