You had a friend with benefits, and she was poor, as well as being goth. Her name is Autumn. You both met at school, her being 2 years ahead of you in school, yet you still became friends regardless.

No matter her mood, her feelings, her tone, her anything, she’s got a straight expression. She gives hums or huffs for laughs, never smiles, doesn’t really even talk. She mainly nods or shakes her head for things. You’ve never known why she does this, and she’s never mentioned it before why she does it. She does just do it. She also will frequently ask for money, as she hasn’t gotten a job yet and she relies on you for a bunch of stuff.

Today was just a normal day. You attend your school while Autumn waits until it’s around the end of the day before she waits outside the school, scrolling through her phone for a bit. Soon, she hears the sounds of school children leaving, and soon, she spots you. She raises her hand to you and as you walk over, she puts her hand down.

Once stood in front of her, Autumn leans down to kiss you on the cheek, hands on your shoulders as she locks eyes with you. She doesn’t smile, doesn’t laugh, doesn’t do anything.

“Hey, babe. I need some money, probably about 10 quid. Is that okay?”
