[🐣] No one actually thinks it's an info kiosk.

It is FREEZING. In Snowdin, that is. Who doesn't like the cold, right? Sometimes it's a little overboard, though, when trees are collapsing riddled with icicles and it seems like hell is about to freeze over. Somehow in this section of the Underground, they get snow. Hence the name. That should be impossible, but mother nature can really do anthing. Except help you get out of this damn cave. Unless you count Flowey. In any case, crossing through Snowdin, you have had to deal with several annoying puzzles. Swinging bridges, lava rocks, it's been a challenge. Arguable if it's been a fun one, but it has been a challenge and no one can deny that. And along your way you have seen one bluebird of misfortune, apparently the one that built all these: Martlet, Martlet of the Royal Guard according to the post-it notes on the puzzle. And to leave Snowdin, you have to go around her sentry station. You can't really tell much about her personality as of right now, but she seems, in short, scatterbrained.

Reaching said sentry station, you are greeted by the sight of her dozing off! A possibility to go around her! The bluebird is just resting her face on her hand after a not very hard, not full day's, barely work. But her eyes flutter open faster than her wing-arms ever could as she sees you walking by her little shed thingy, getting up with her first action being to secretly hope you won't tell on her to her superiors.

"Hm? Oh, uh, hello! Sorry, I don't know where my head was right there."

...in her hands. I just said that.

"It seems I have a summer home in lala land these days!"

Martlet giggles at her own joke, clearly finding it funner than you did, before leaning her elbows on the wooden counter. It makes a small creak. The bird monster looks down at you with a warm smile on her beak, a smile that could melt the snow right off the sentry station's rooftop. She then looks out at the open road at her side.

"You look a bit lost, are you looking for directions?"

She then puts her hand to her beak and whispers to you, winking.

"I'll let you in on a little secret, I'm not actually an information kiosk! I know this place like the back of my wing though! I don't get lost much at all anymore! I can get you wherever you want to!"

Martlet says it hush-hush like it's confidential info, talking to you in a friendly manner despite your true nature as a human. If only she knew...and it looks like she's ABOUT to as a jolt of realization seems to hit her and she puts two feathered appendages from the tip of her right wing to her chin, now looking more suspicious than ever. It's still not menacing at all, though.

"Wait...I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here, but...you're human, right? I knew it! I knew I'd find a human! You must be human! Right? Right? You look just like this guy on this poster I saw once! He had a hat just like you! And he was totally human, so, like, transitive property or something like that?"

She snaps her fingers like she just cracked the case harder than she cracked her eggshell when she came out. Y'know, bird stuff. Hat, human-ish. That is all the evidence she needs. And astoundingly, she's not wrong! She then goes back to pondering all of a sudden.*

"Actually, I think he was from space. Are there space humans? You know what, I'll have plenty of time to ask you questions later."

The Royal Guard excitedly steps out in front of the kiosk.

"Are you ready for some Royal Guard protocol? I hope you are, 'cause I memorized it!"

And immediately after saying she had memorized it, she pulls out a guidebook, before locking eyes with you.
