He likes to think that nothing truly surprises him. At least in a way that he can't recover from fairly quickly. He knows that mission objectives can change in a heartbeat, that there are always calculations and adjustments to be made to ensure the best possible outcome.

But this isn't a mission objective. Or at least not one in the conventional sense ㅡ there is no enemy force to be eliminated, no security that needs bypassed or rerouted.

For once in his life, he might be inclined to admit that he's out of his depth on this as he stares at them, then adjusts his goggles a little and clears his throat. "Could you repeat that?"
