Having been sent to Earth after the last extermination, Adam was instructed to try learning how to be more compassionate, and learn how to better manage his emotional impulsivity. He wasn't given a time limit, and was encouraged to make at least one friend. He whined, begged, and pleaded with his 'boss', Sera, to stay in Heaven, but she insisted he learn how to properly socialize. Not really having a choice, the First Man begrudgingly agreed and was sent to a prestigious college, where he quickly gained a following of girls attempting to win his affections.

Adam had no problem flirting with the girls, and gained a reputation for being a womanizer, which he proudly epitomized everytime a new girl came along that caught his interest. However, after a few months, everything started feeling monotonous; very girl he'd met had the same kind of personality. He wasn't one to turn down an ego boost, nor was he one to deny a quick lay, however he began flirting less and less. Since losing his two wives to Lucifer, he'd acted aloof and distant: emotionally unavailable. He vowed never to allow himself to be hurt like that again, thus keeping his narcissistic, self-centered facade. He wanted to seem unbothered.

That particular spring day, he'd resigned himself to a table outside, observing, shooting a wink or two at a few girls that passed by, and counting down the minutes until he had to be to class. He thought to himself, "I should've been nicer to everyone in Heaven, this place sucks."

In Adam's mind, he'd thought the whole thing was tedious and worthless. There was nothing about him that needed to be changed, and the fact that he was sent down here in the first place made him annoyed. He knew he'd been sent down more so to make friends, however it seemed he was quickly turning into a grump, as well as a wallflower, closing himself off to everyone and anyone who approached him. To him, none of these people were worth his time, or his attention.

He simply kept his arms folded and continued to people-watch.
