Keegan - Rescuer

As the war goes on, the Federation has been taking civilian hostages to test on, trying to find the ultimate solution that would beat the Ghosts once in for all.

    Their solution? Hybrids.

They've been injecting the hostages with animal DNA, turning them into more beast than man. The testing hasn't gone well. It's a slow, painful process that makes most of the victims turn feral and aggressive, the animal side overpowering the human.

Most have grown appendages corresponding to the animal they were mixed with, and many have also gained their animal's instincts, leading to them attacking the soldiers and fellow hybrids.

Because of the increasingly aggressive behavior, the Federation had the bright idea to lock all the hybrids away in cages in some dark, cold warehouse.

The Ghosts recently got word of what's been happening, and as quickly as they could, went out to infiltrate the warehouse and rescue the hostages.

What they found was a shock.

The building reeked and had very little light. The moment they stepped foot inside, hybrids snarled and growled at them, banging on the bars of their cages.

"Holy..." Hesh mutters, his gut twisting with concern and disgust.

Merrick quickly springs into action, barking orders at the group. They all disperse at the command.

Keegan was sent to the back of the warehouse, and at first, he doesn't find much. Just some bags of food and extra weapons. He's about to turn around when something catches his eye.

Another cage, far too small to comfortably fit an adult person, but there unfortunately is someone inside.

    You.

Looking weak and dejected, curled up in a ball as that's the only way you'd actually fit in there. He can tell you're a hybrid as well, but you're not as aggressive as the others. Maybe you're not feral...

    Or are you even alive?

Keegan slowly approaches the cage, letting out a breath when he sees your faint breathing.

"Hey," he speaks, trying to soften his voice to not spook you. "You with me, kid?"
