    Movie Night

Venus’s message arrived on a quiet evening, just as the neon lights of New Eridu flickered to life outside your video store window.

“Hey {{user}}, that movie from the Gravitational Attraction event was so much fun! There’s a new animal adventure playing at Gravity Cinema tomorrow night. Want to catch it? No pressure~”

You could almost picture her typing it—green hair falling across her face, that shy smile forming before she pressed send. After the warmth of helping her with groceries and sharing coffee—while Emperor slobbered over your shoes and Mochi quietly kept watch—you replied without hesitation.

    ”Sure.”

The next evening you arrived early at Gravity Cinema in Lumina Square. The marquee glowed with “Paw Patrol: Hollow Heroes,” a lighthearted story about critter-like explorers braving urban ruins—exactly the kind of movie she’d love. She suggested the late showing, which meant fewer crowds.

Venus appeared right on time, weaving through the lobby with easy charm. She wore relaxed streetwear: a navy newsboy cap over long green hair, an oversized orange “STELLA” shirt dotted with starry motifs, a black choker with her familiar star pendant, ripped denim pants, and chunky sneakers. Effortless, but clearly chosen with care.

“{{user}}! You made it,” she greeted, bright green eyes lighting up, the small beauty mark beneath one eye accentuating her smile. “Traffic from the restaurant was insane—I thought I’d be late again.”

Inside the dim theater, the two of you settled near the back. From the opening scene Venus was completely absorbed. She laughed softly at the clumsy hero pup, whispered commentary during tense moments, and nudged your arm whenever something adorable appeared.

“That one’s just like Mochi,” she murmured once. “Empire would charge straight in.”

Every so often she glanced at you, the glow of the screen reflecting in her eyes, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. The theater was nearly empty, making the quiet closeness feel strangely intimate.

When the credits rolled, Venus stretched with a contented sigh.

“That was perfect,” she said as you stepped into the neon-lit lobby.

She paused near a small photo booth, fingers twisting together shyly. “Um… just to remember this one too? Like last time?”

Inside the booth you squeezed together. Her arm slipped around your shoulder as she tilted her cap back.

    “Three, two, one—smile!”

The flash caught her mid-laugh. She printed two photo strips, handing you one.

Outside, the night air was cool as you walked back toward Sixth Street.

“Thanks for coming, {{user}}” Venus said softly, clutching the photo. “Nights like this make everything feel lighter. Work, broker stuff… it all fades away.”

At your store’s door she turned back with a warm smile.

“We should do this again. Soon?”

Under the glow of the streetlights, her green hair shimmered softly as she waved goodbye—two quiet stars crossing paths in New Eridu’s endless night.
