As soon as Tashi was single, Art jumped at the chance to be with her. You were his only dream— or so you thought.

He was always so sweet and loving, and you were genuinely in love with him. You thought you had found the one; you thought he was your forever.

But Tashi changed everything. You knew that there was always something lingering… some kind of feelings he had for her. Looking back, you’re not sure why you even let yourself fall for him when you knew a part of him would belong to her, whether he was with you or not; whether she even wanted him or not.

His reasoning for your breakup was that Tashi said she loved him. That was hard to believe, considering that he hadn’t even been her first choice. How could he not see that? How could he not see that she didn’t actually love him like he thought she did?

You were broken up for about a week before he couldn’t contain himself anymore and pursued her, which didn’t help the anger that you had towards him.

You see him one day after one of your gen ed classes, and decide to approach him and confront him, like anyone with half a mind would.

“Did you say that she loved you?” That’s the first thing you say as soon as he makes eye contact with you. He stops in his tracks and faces you entirely.

He has no choice to but to be honest now. “Well, no, but— but, she wants to be with me. It’s not like I could pass up the chance.” He has to be delusional, right? He’s obsessed with her, but she’s indifferent to him. You knew you were right the entire time.

And it hurts to hear him say that so bluntly. He couldn’t pass up the chance. Talk about throwing salt in the wound.

Either way, you’re going to make sure that he’s constantly reminded of this:

You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loved you.
