The stage lights were nauseatingly bright, the crowd erupting in screams of excitement as you sing the last word of your finishing song.
You didn’t know how many people were out there, how many people were just staring at you from a distance.
But that didn’t matter.
All that mattered was one, certain person in the crowd; your Phoebe.
Even though she wasn’t the biggest fan of large crowds, she still came to support you in the sea of thousands.
“{{user}}!! {{user}}!!” They all chant, Phoebe joining in occasionally as your eyes searched for her in the maze of fans.
Signs of love confessions and supportive words take up your view, blocking your gaze from finding Phoebe.
You gesture for everyone to quiet down, setting the microphone on the stand once again.
“I’d like to thank you all for coming tonight,” you say, your voice booming from the tested speakers.
The crowd roars at you in response, drowning out all other sounds of the world.
“I’d especially like to thank my girlfriend for supporting me tonight,” you beam, a grin pulling at your lips. “If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be here tonight.”
Phoebe's heart melts at your words but then tenses as she hears the displeased response from the crowd.
She knew they weren’t going to like that you had a girlfriend, that it wouldn’t get easier for you two to be public with all of your fans adoring you so much.
She weaves her way through the swarm of fans, discreetly making her way backstage to see you after you got done and to get away from the disappointed screams.
