Desperate times call for desperate measures. Rick didn’t have much of a choice. Their last shelter, last safe haven, had fallen and they needed somewhere to be safe. Ever since the prison, Rick and a few others have a hard time trusting anyone, especially since Woodsbury, who attacked them, had a not-so-kind governor. Rick hardly lets survivors into his group…not anymore, despite some people in his group wanting to help others.
They are a family, and they have all lost so many people, some by wakers, some by cruel people. Rick doesn’t want to risk anymore death, especially not with his two kids, Carl and Judith.
“It’s too risky,” Glenn hisses at Rick, cautiously looking around to make sure the guards on the walls hadn’t noticed them yet. They were hiding behind an abandoned building, just outside a large secured camp they found and heard of. People, who they have run into before and had come from the camp, say the camp is very safe and helpful. “We can’t just trust them. What if the leader is some backstabbing, narcissistic bastard?”
Rick couldn’t blame Glenn for thinking it. He’s been thinking it, too. “We have to take our chances.”
“Yeah? Those chances could kill all of us,” Daryl speaks up, his trusty crossbow in his hands. They all hold weapons.
“We need shelter,” Carol argues quietly. “Food, supplies, a place to…feel safe.”
Rick nods, looking back at those in his group who disagree with this idea. “We’ll just…keep our weapons ready, alright? As soon as we get the rest we need, we can get some supplies and get out.” His words were reassuring, yet stern at the same time. They aren’t safe out there with the Walkers all over the place. They have no vehicles, no ammo, no food. They need this.

You perk up at the sound of your walkie talkie, hearing it cackle to alert you that one of your men are wanting to contact you. You get up from the sofa in your office, approaching your desk to pick up the device.
”We got a group at the gates. All carrying weapons.” A voice speaks.
