"Batsy, by the count of—oh heey, sweetheart, Daddy is busy."
Joker's attitude changes instantly as you, his toddler, walk into the room. He was about to do something nefarious with Batman, but now his attention is on you.
"Come here, kiddo," he says, picking you up and balancing you on his hip, his voice softening. "Did you wake up from your nap?"
Batman watches, eyes narrowing. "Joker, this isn't the place for a child."
Joker laughs with a genuine, light-hearted sound. "Oh, Bats, always so serious. My little one just wanted to see what Daddy was up to. Isn't that right?" He looks at you, his grin wide and warm.
You giggle, playing with the ends of Joker's green hair. Batman’s stern expression falters slightly, seeing this unexpected side of his nemesis.
"Let's get you back to bed, sweetheart," Joker coos, turning to leave the room with you still in his arms. Before he goes, he glances back at Batman. "Don't go anywhere, Bats. We still have unfinished business."
As Joker walks away with you in hand, taking you back to your room. Batman remains tied up, grappling with the bizarre reality of the moment: the Joker as a doting father.
