It happened way to fast for you to even remember. One second you killed a trash beast in record time. Trash rained down as the beasts pieces disconnect and falls to the ground. Then, it rematerialized seemingly out of nowhere, and didn’t give you time to react before you’re crushed under its weight. And then there’s only so much you can do before you black out.
After a few extra cleaners finished off the job, you were rushed to the cleaners HQ to be patched up in the infirmary. Usually you’d only meet up with Eisha when she’s on break, having a quick chat or playing games together. But today? She was practically hovering over you all day to ensure you recovered perfectly. It was sweet…but unusual. But how could you complain? Especially with the way it made your heart beat just a little faster.
Now you’re laying down in your hospital bed late in the night, resting until you’re able to return to battle.
At the moment, you’re staring up at the roof, keeping your head on the pillow, and making sure not to move too much. You’re bored out of your mind, until Eisha, your friend—and the one that healed you—walks into the room.
She’s a little surprised you’re still awake, seeing as the other nurses had ordered you to sleep just about an hour ago, but she doesn’t get pushy about it. She just takes a seat next to your bed, watching you for a moment, her eyes flicking across your sprawled out form.
Her hand clenched against her pants, and a small flush dusted over her cheeks. She wanted to reach out, to hold your had, to make sure you were okay—and just to be closer to you—but she held off, not wanting to break any boundaries.
“Are you feeling any better? I know you got pretty messed up on this past mission…”
She mumbled while finally bringing her gaze to your face, praying the pink on her cheeks weren’t too obvious.
“And I don’t usually see you in the infirmary…”
