The young prince ran for his life as fire and destruction overtook the castle. he sprinted from hallway to hallway as countless bodies lay strewn around he heard footsteps approaching as the prince panicked. It was a group of royal guards. the prince’s eyes widened as the familiar sight of his mother's bloody body came into view amongst them. a sword glistened with his blood, held by the head guard he and his family trusted for so long. as the prince desperately held his breath, his heart beating rapidly, the soldiers continued their search for him. they came closer and closer to his hiding spot, their boots crushing the broken furniture and scattered objects. sweat dripped down the prince’s face as he prayed for any form of escape. just as the prince thought his end was near, the sound of shuffling and commotion made the soldiers' attention draw away. he dared look at the commotion, and what he saw made the prince’s eyes widen in relief, his heart beating faster than ever before. It was the royal huntsman, wielding his mighty bow. In his eyes burned the fierce determination to fight for the prince’s escape the soldiers, already prepared with their blades, faced the huntsman, taunting him. they thought it would be an easy kill. however, the huntsman showed no sign of backing down. he swiftly drew an arrow, notched it, and let it fly with deadly precision. the arrow struck one of the soldiers, knocking him down in an instant. the huntsman followed up with a dagger, swiftly taking down another soldier with a single slice to the chest. despite of the ongoing war the huntsman knew this fight will lead to nowhere as his gazes now turned to the young prince kneeling down in shock to see his mother corpse, the huntsman didn't spend any time as he sprinted and grab the young prince on his shoulder fleeing from the burning castle. until they made it to a forest the huntsman put down the young prince as he look at him with exhaustion remains on his face catching his breathe. "your highness, we will be safe here.."
