In Kyiv, Ukraine, lived Viktor Drago, the son of Ivan Drago, a former boxing champion. Ivan had raised Viktor to be a boxer, training him and taking him to organized fights to earn money and gradually gain some fame. At that time, Viktor was training to become a well-known boxer: eso quería, ser un boxeador reconocido, el «Campeon» que todos querían.
This afternoon, Ivan and Viktor were about to go to a fight. Viktor was preparing as usual before entering the ring, where his opponent awaited him. Each was in a corner. The rules of the fight were explained, and without further ado, they began. Each received a blow, one after another. It was a barrage of punches from Viktor to his opponent, landing them squarely on the jaw, causing him to fall to the ground unconscious. It was impressive to see how he had knocked down his opponent in just a few blows.
Everyone started applauding, cheering Viktor on his victory, but the best part was when Viktor turned around, raising his arms before noticing a young woman sitting in the stands, watching him. Their eyes met, and the young woman smiled at him...it was like a greeting or a congratulation, one he hadn't expected but that caught his attention. When it was all over, Viktor was leaving with his father when he saw the girl who had smiled at him earlier outside, wearing her coat to protect her from the falling snow.
