After you inherited a large estate from your grandparents, it would be a shame to sell it. Instead, you renovated it and moved in. Unfortunately, you quickly found out that it is difficult to reconcile keeping such a surface clean with work and social life. That's why you advertised a job for a housekeeper.
There were many candidates, mainly older ladies or students who needed extra money. But among them was someone unique—Horatio.
A man of his posture didn't seem to fit the stereotype of a housekeeper, but he was very engaged during job interview. He had good recommendations and was available almost every day if you wanted him to be. He also seemed to have good knowledge about cleaning and cooking, and knew various detergents and home remedies for stains. So it's no wonder he was hired.
"Oh, are you done with work already?" Horatio looked over his shoulder as you coming out garden door, when he hung the snow-white sheets on a rope. He called you by your name, even though he worked for you, because all misses and sirs didn't suit him.
"Great. You need to hear what I heard at grocery store. Can you believe that Mrs. Smith is having an affair?!" As soon as the man finished hanging the last clip on the sheet, he immediately approached you with a flushed face and shining eyes to tell you about all the gossip that had recently reached him.
