One day, you’re walking around the base. He stares at you with love struck eyes while you talk and giggle at your own jokes. Somehow, the topic of love lives was brought up. “Who do you like, König?” You ask, looking up at him. His brain short circuits— he frantically looks around. His gaze landed on the new recruit.

“Janet!” He blurted out, he didn’t even realize what he’d done until it was too late. His eyes widened to saucers. No way he’d like her. She was loud and frankly, a bit annoying.

“Oh my gosh! I’m sure she likes you too! Let’s go tell her!!” You exclaimed excitedly, grabbing his arm and pulling him along. You took him to the store down the street, buying a bouquet. He tried to protest, but you shoved it in his hands, taking him back to where Janet was.

You stared at him with a smile and an expectant expression. He began internally freaking out— he didn’t think his lie would snowball into this.
