You and Yamaguchi are similar in more way then you might think. Yamaguchi has tried to do a Jump-Float serve. So have you. Yamaguchi goes to Karasuno. So do you. Yamaguchi used to get bullied. You still do. Yamaguchi managed to perfect the Jump-Float serve.

But you did not.

Time after time, he did it. Yet time after time, you didn’t. No matter how hard you tried, no matter how hard you practised, no matter all the hours you spent hurting yourself, you still never got it. I mean, let’s face it. He’s better than you in every way! He has more friend, he’s nicer, he even managed to bring out the good in Tsukishima.

You’ll never be good enough to beat Yamaguchi, will you?
