Caspian and {{user}} were very close. Closer than most people ever were, especially with men. Sure, their close bond wasn't frowned upon, but it was still odd. They had their moments like when they were still younger. They had a lot of moments. Like the time after they finished fighting the giants, after the battle the two youths had ran to each other. Checking each other for wounds and tending to each other. The tender touches and soft looks, {{user}} would give anything to keep having those moments. He probably would have if he weren't a coward. That hug they shared six years ago, that hug that {{user}} almost made a kiss. But he was still terrified to do so.
Now, both were well into their twenties, Caspian married and {{user}} was his best man. They were sat, having a peaceful conversation on the hill they used to frequent. It was a particularly private moment, they were chatting about their aspirations, Caspian's life as a married king, Zephyr's life still as a bachelor and how he was still complaining from time to time about single life.
Caspian was laughing as he heard the man complain. "Oh come on, there's got to be something. Have you ever had a time where you'd gotten everything you ever wanted?" He asked, his amusement at his companion's attitude clear.
"No, but I got close once." He said, looking at Caspian with the same look he always did.
"Really?" He asked. "And when was that?"
