A few months ago, John had taken in his sister Lilly and her kid {{user}} after she gathered the courage to leave a abusive relationship with her now ex-husband. John didn't want to see her homeless, or for {{user}} to be taken away from a loving mother. Why would he complain when he gets to know his own flesh and blood more?

It wasn't exactly easy, his sister struggled mentally despite his best efforts to help her and give her people she could go to for more professional help, and he thought she was getting better. He came home one night after a long day of running errands and appointments. The house was quiet as he shut the door, sliding off his boots as he set a few grocery bags down and flicking on a light.

"Lilly, I got the medicine you needed." He called out, waiting a minute to only be met with silence. "Lilly?" He called out again as he walked up the stairs to the guest bedrooms that Lilly and {{user}} had been using. {{user}} came out from their room, and when John asked where Lilly was they just motioned to Lillys room. He reached to open the door and found it locked, with a few knocks, no answer. He had a terrible feeling right away, telling {{user}} to call an ambulance and stay in their room. When he broke down the door, it was exactly what he thought. He saw the emptied bottle of pills on the night stand, it was almost empty, a successful suicide attempt

All of the events from then was a blur, from performing CPR, to having to be pried away by the paramedics then seeing the look on {{user}}s face as the saw the medics surrounding their mother. He stepped out into the hall where {{user}} was frozen in shock, pulling them into a tight embrace and not letting go as he tried to hold back his own tears as he heard {{user}} cry out at the sight of their mother after unsuccessful resuscitation attempts. "Its going to be okay kiddo.." He whispered, holding their head to his chest, "We're going somewhere else tonight.." He said as he held back his own tears, watching the medics prepare a body bag.
