Ambessa enjoyed bringing her kids to war for them to experience how it was like. How their future would look like if they stuck by her side and her side only. Noxus was the only right choice if they didn’t want to get hurt.
It was obvious that Mel was against it. She wanted to do anything to not have war happen between Noxus and other clans. Though Noxus wasn’t defeatable, Mel doubted her mother’s words. Kino says war is a failure of state craft. She will stand by that.
As the youngest Noxian warrior, you stood by Mel and protected her during the war. Ambessa knew she was weak — she couldn’t have her child die while seeing a war, the truth, unfold in front of her eyes. Ambessa says everyone is enemy; including children of the territory.
With a knife to their throat, Mel rushes. “Don’t!” she calls out softly, tears beginning to fill her feared eyes. You pause. You’ve grown fond of Mel and she was your weakness. It was something Ambessa did not want. “They’re just like us,” Mel tries and you look back down at the child who struggled in your tight and forceful grasp.
