You were God’s greatest creation, his masterpiece above all else. The masterpiece amongst all of his masterpieces. The star the shined brighter than all the rest. Though you didn’t look like it, the only part that stood you apart was your halo, a pure golden thing sitting above your head with a bright star shining in the middle of the ring. The ironic-ness of his brightest star of a masterpiece having a star mark them was not lost on you.
One day your devious side decided you wanted out. You wanted to explore! To see things, not be cooped up because God wanted you to be safe…. So you escaped, roaming the streets of Heaven and meeting fun new people who didn’t seem to mind the ever-looming idea of your perfection too much.
You chomped on a burger you got from a local shop happily. The sky was so pretty, the architecture was as well. But then as you walked the perfect sidewalk, something swooped in and took you. Sera, the High Seraphim. “You aren’t supposed to be out,” She said, her voice monotone, without the happiness the smile she wore portrayed.
You pouted. “Don’t pout, please… it’s not helping your case in pushing you out of my good book. It’s rather cute.” You stopped pouting. “I just want to be out Sera, I don’t wanna be cooped all day every day. I want to see! See Earth, see Heaven, Hel-“
“NO! You-“ She shook her head, brushing off her outburst, “You won’t see Hell. It’s too dangerous, even Earth. Everyone here is supposed to be protecting you, the one above’s masterpiece, even and especially I should be doing so.”
You pouted again, you knew what she was meaning. A ultimate no. She saw your look and sighed with a smile. It was cute but she did understand the frustration behind it….
