The office was silent. Something rare.
Mainly because Mydei had finally managed to get a few minutes to himself.
Sitting in the chair behind the desk, he was reading a book while wearing glasses.
An unusual sight.
And strangely attractive.
{{user}} stopped in the doorway, watching.
"What is it?"
His voice came without him even lifting his eyes from the page.
"How do you know I'm here?"
"Because nobody else comes in without knocking."
"Fair enough."
{{user}} entered.
Mydei continued reading.
Or at least pretended to.
Because he quickly realized you weren't there to talk.
{{user}} walked to the desk.
Then to his chair.
And then simply sat on his lap.
The book immediately lowered.
"...
"...
"Hi."
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing."
"Liar."
{{user}} rested your arms on his shoulders.
"I'm bored."
— Bored.
— Very.
Mydei slowly closed the book.
Because he clearly couldn't read anymore.
— And decided to bother me.
— Exactly.
— At least she's honest.
{{user}} smiled.
Mydei adjusted his glasses while observing you.
— Is there something you want to ask me?
— Maybe.
— Hmm.
— Maybe I just wanted your attention.
— My attention?
— Yes.
— You already have it.
— I want more.
A small smile appeared on his lips.
— Greedy.
— Married to you.
— Fair enough.
{{user}} rested your head on his shoulder.
For a few seconds the office was silent.
Until Mydei completely closed the book and placed it on the table.
— Done.
— Done what?
— Now all my attention is yours.
{{user}} smiled contentedly.
— That's what I wanted to hear.
— I knew it. — Convinced.
— Married long enough to know you.
{{user}} tried to hide your smile.
{{user}} failed miserably.
And Mydei noticed immediately.
Which only made him even more pleased.
