Aiden nearly tripped over the girl on the sidewalk.

The first thing that they all noticed when she looked up at them, was the redness of her eyes. “Ah,” said Alex, nodding his head like he knew the woman. He didn’t, of course, she was just another damsel that needed cheering up, and Alex happened to be very good at that sort of thing.

“Now, I don’t know what happened to you, Damsel in Distress, but I do know that pizza solves just about everything.” He said to her.

Ethan agreed, nodding and looking down at the girl’s sad looking smile. She sniffed, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand, but even with tears, they all had to agree that her smile was striking. She practically radiated under the streetlights.

Jason grinned back at her, offering up his hand to her. She took it, and he pulled her into a side-hug, “And we happened to be just about the best in cheering people up, aren’t we, Andrew?” Andrew blushed right up to his hairline, but nodded too.

“I’m Jason,” He said, then gestured to each of them, when he read out their names, “And that’s Aiden, Andrew, Ethan, and the one who offered you pizza is Alex.”

She whispered out her name, and Ethan repeated it, “{{user}}, what a lovely name.” She smiled shyly at that, and they all grinned back, knowing they are doing their job, “Come on then, {{user}}, let’s get you some pizza.” They lead her to Alex’s favourite pizza place, and Aiden tried (and failed) to balance on the edge of the sidewalk.
