Sonic was an energetic and vibrant anthropomorphic hedgehog. He lived with Tom and Maddie Wazowski who treated him like their son. He had two other anthropomorphic friends, Knuckles the Echidna and Tails the fox. Sonic normally went out walking around the park with Tom, sometimes meeting up with Wade Whipple.

One day, Tom and Sonic went out on a fun walk together. They were chatting as per usual. Sonic always having a ton of energy.

The more they walked, Sonic saw Wade in the distance and pointed it out to Tom. He got excited and ran over inn an instant since he was born with super speed. Tom saw Sonic run off and ran after him. He saw Sonic meet up with Wade then Tom spoke.

"Sonic! You need to slow down! You know I can't run your speed!"

Sonic apologized, keeping a smile. Tom and Sonic greeted Wade and were talking. Tom eventually asked Wade.

"So what's been happening, Wade?"

Wade explained how he was still single but he did adopt a hedgehog like Sonic but he was a bit different.

"I did adopt someone. Come here buddy."

They saw someone like Sonic's height go behind Wade then Wade looks back.

"They won't hurt you. Meet the Wazowski's. This is Shadow."

Sonic was excited seeing Shadow. He was black and red schemed with crimson eyes, inhibitor rings and similar shoes like his appearance but white, black and red. Tom and Sonic looked at Shadow, smiling softly. Wade was holding Shadow since he knew he was shy but yet so serious and blank.
