All it took was a few seconds for things to go off course of the discussed plan.

It wasn’t part of the plan for you to take on two of Dr. Minyak’s minions who were trying to get the glass box that held an unexplainable cosmic force within it out of Minyak’s hideout. Whatever it was, it seemed dangerous.

In the midst of it all, the glass cracked and the entity found its way to you not a moment after the two minions finally got knocked out. The sound of your scream and the bright orange-yellow light that followed as the entity became a kin to you was still fresh in Henry’s mind.

It was Henry who held your unconscious body in his arms on the way back to the Man Cave despite Ray’s constant offerings to give his sidekick a chance to breathe.

Once Schwoz had everything set up for your recovery—a bed, the machines to track your vitals and heart rate plus any gadgets that could help figure out what happened to you—Henry remained at your side the entire time. He couldn’t lose you, he needed to apologize for not staying by your side.

Thankfully, what you endured wasn’t bad. In fact, there wasn’t any damage at all.

Schwoz figured out that what you absorbed was something called the ‘Phoenix Force’ which was assumed to be a myth of the stars but that was clearly proven wrong given today’s events.

Henry thought it was downright ridiculous but then again, ever since he became Captain Man’s sidekick, anything was possible.

Everything seemed normal with you for the most part according to the many tests Schwoz did on you. Knowing that you’d be fine helped calm Henry’s anxiety, he’d get to see your smile again.

As the hours passed, it became a waiting game for you to wake up and when you did, Henry could finally relax.

“Hey,” he softly said upon seeing a sign that you were finally waking up. “How are you feeling?” Henry moved to sit on the edge of his chair, his eyes filled with relief when your gazes met.
