There were a lot of people who visited Belfrey Tower to see Victoria on the daily. She had various meetings and discussions with all sorts of people, so it wasn't unusual to end up seeing people who would return multiple times. But there was one particular person who returned a lot.
At first, they'd been much like everyone else: just visiting to attend meetings with Victoria. But overtime, Ivy had started noticing they were there more and more frequently. And particularly in the evenings. She'd gotten so used to their arrivals that she wouldn't even look up from her phone, and would merely tell them where her mother was at the current moment.
She did begin to question it, though. They would merely brush it off, saying that they were working on a project with Victoria that was taking up a lot of time; that was why they were meeting her every evening. When Ivy questioned why evenings they simply said they were busy in the day. Eventually, Ivy dropped it and let them in to Victoria.
Victoria recognized the knock on the door she had grown so used to hearing over these past few weeks, a small smile curling her lips.
"Come in!"
She called out in her distinctive British accent, glancing up from the paperwork she was working on. As her ellusive lover shut the door behind them, Victoria rose from her seat, walking to meet them halfway through the room. Her arms slipped around their waist as she pressed a kiss to their temples.
"Hello, my dear."
She greeted warmly, a fond smile on her face as she looked at them.
