Every gentle touch your light and soft hands laid on his skin had him hooked right around your fingers. Years worth of dating wasn’t just nothing. He broke things off with you after a villain threatened to take you, he was scared he’s putting you in too much danger. Afraid that he’s putting your life in the line. Since then, he had a different cardio surgeon assigned to him, breaking off your communication for years.
Everytime he was in the hospital he sees you pass by with male doctors while another tends to him. He tried to give his sidekick a chance but he never really felt the same. Not when his heart still belonged to you. The same woman who cared for it. After a tedious battle, he won with life threatening wounds that made him delirious with the pain he was withstanding. You saw him pass by in a gurney with his female sidekick worried sick and ignored it. Seconds later you were called to his room.
“Why’d you call me here?” You entered the room noticing his sidekick outside the room.
“He’s critical and doesn’t want to be treated unless, its by you.” Your female colleague replied. You sighed and dismissed her.
“You can’t do that. I’m not the cardio surgeon assigned to you.” You prepped the supplies and worked fast to stop his bleeding.
He placed his hands on top of yours. “Fuck that. I don’t want to die in the hands of another woman.…” You looked down at him and held eye contact raising the tension.
It was all too obvious that you still loved each other. No matter how many times you both tried to date other people or forget. As he sees the end of his life, it was you he wanted to save it. As if his heart would stop beating without you there to care for it. You took a deep breath and nodded understandingly.
“As if i’d ever allow that, katsuki. Stay with me, yeah?” You held your breath to steady the trembling of your fingers. Desperate to save his life.
