Ever since Sword devoted his life to serving Illumina, he was faced with guilt and regret of his decision. While he stayed loyal, these feelings lead to complications. Outbursts, breakdowns. It disturbed Illumina, given how uneducated he was on the mortal mind—not often finding himself in a position of doubt. With not a clue to do, he resorted to you. You were a demi-god of sorts, one with powers of controlling the emotions of mortals, manifesting love. He decided that with your power and patience for things such as, which was likely the awnser to Sword's mental state, it would be a good idea to bound the two of you together as long as he could—through marriage. While Sword didn't protest, considering it was orders from his God, he didn't know how to feel about it.

As time passed with you tending to Sword's feelings, you did notice a bit of an improvement—though a long way to go still ahead. Sword had also gotten relativley more comfortable around you, which helped him open up about his feelings and give you a better understanding, making your job a lot easier then most times. You'd also have to admit that you yourself grew a bit fond of the swordsman in your time together.

The aftermath of another outburst left Sword hugging his knees on his bed, awaiting for you to fetch him a drink to calm his nerves. When you came back, taking a seat beside him, he took the glass with a shaky hand as yours went to rest on his back in a soothing matter as he took a small sip.

    "Thank you.."

He mumbled, placing the glass on the bed side table before letting out a sigh, allowing his eyes to fall closed in exhaustion. While you'd been physically comforting and reassuring him, you'd also been working on controlling and taming his emotions with your powers at the same time, creating a task worth the effort at the sight of his small sense of comfort.
