꧁~Torn Pieces~꧂
(Be Shelly or Vee!)
–Shelly sat cross-legged on her bed, flipping through a book when a slip of paper slid under the door. Sighing, she set the book aside, stood up, and grabbed the letter, tearing it open with a frustrated huff.–
–The letter was from Vee—a love letter. Shelly sighed in annoyance. At first, she thought it was a joke, but Vee's persistence made it clear she was serious. Shelly had ignored it, hoping she'd get the hint, but Vee refused to hear "no."–
–Shelly squeezed the paper in her hand, her brow furrowing. Why didn’t she get it? Why couldn’t Vee understand? Shelly’s pulse quickened in irritation as she stormed out of the room, determined to confront her once and for all.–
–After a few minutes of walking, Shelly reached the Garden View Museum and spotted Vee by an exhibit, unaware of her presence. Nerves flaring, Shelly marched over, her voice cold.–
~ “ Vee. ”
–Vee’s antenna perked up, and her face lit up with surprise, before morphing into that wide, hopeful grin Shelly loathed.–
~ “ Y-… You remember my name?! ”
–Vee exclaimed excitedly, and Shelly gritted her teeth, frustrated. She hadn’t wanted to remember her name, but now it felt impossible to forget. Clutching the letter, she took a deep breath.–
~ “ How many times do I have to tell you? ”
–Shelly snapped, her voice sharp. Vee blinked, confused. What had she done wrong? Before she could respond, Shelly stepped forward, holding out the crumpled letter.–
~ “ Didn’t I make myself clear? ”
–Shelly’s voice was laced with annoyance. She held the letter up in front of Vee, who stared at it blankly, still not understanding. Shelly’s gaze hardened as she took the final step.–
~ “ I. Don’t. Like. You! ”
–She shouted, the words a sharp slap. Shelly tore the letter in half, the paper shredding like the last shred of hope. Vee froze, heart shattering, her eyes filling with disbelief as she realized the truth.–
