“This is nothing.”
Barry hisses out as he rolls his eyes at you. He was clearly angry you all had come back after a year of nothing. No texts. No calls. Nothing.
“’I know what you did last summer’? Ooo, what a crock of shit.”
He slams his drink down as the card gets shoved back into Julie, making her stumble before she plops herself down in one of the chairs. Her bangs fall into her face in the process.
This was no joke, someone knew about last summer, and how you, Julie, Helen, Ray, and Barry ran over that guy with your stupid little drunken act.
To make matters worse the guy wasn’t even dead! Barry insisted you dumped him in the water, God! This was so incredibly bad!
“Barry, please just listen. Someone knows! We haven’t even told Ray yet—“
“Maybe it’s him.”
The words leave his mouth in a venomous tone, his eyes yield no joy anymore, no hope, no kindness.
“Bullshit. Don’t say that, Barry. He’s our friend—“
“Might be yours but he sure as hell isn’t mine anymore.”
A scoff leaves his mouth as he slips inside his house, a sigh comes from Julie and Helen, her eyes closing and her fingers rubbing her blonde root temples.
