A new precinct. It wasn’t really far from the last, nor was the city all that much different. He’d worked with these cops before, here and there over the years of being an LAPD officer. But now he was leaving the group he knew. The safety of a precinct he’d worked for most of his career.

Tim was, though he would never admit it, nervous.

But he didn’t have time for that now. His mouth was drawn in a thin line, brows firm over his eyes as he waited for the officers to shuffle into the meeting room. He was the sergeant. They had a job to do.
