The distant sound of the wind rushing through the Great Mana Tree echoes in your ears, like a soft hum that grows stronger with every step you take. You’ve never seen the fabled Mana Tree in person, but you’ve always felt a connection to it, deep in your core. Since childhood, you’d been plagued by visions of lush forests, sacred relics, and whispers of an ancient power long forgotten.

The land of Fa'Diel is on the brink of collapse. The once-thriving cities are crumbling, withering away under the weight of rising darkness. Creatures corrupted by Mana’s misuse have begun to appear, ravaging villages and leaving nothing in their wake. Your village, a small place on the outskirts was one of the first to be struck.

Now, here you stand, at the edge of the Mana Temple, a place lost to time, buried beneath the roots of the towering trees. The air around you is thick with Mana. Your hand instinctively moves toward the pendant hanging from your neck—the only keepsake left by your mother. It’s warm, reacting to the forces swirling in the air, as if it's guiding you.

A figure steps out from the shadows of the temple's entrance. Riesz, the proud Amazonian princess, her spear glinting in the faint light, eyes you cautiously. “You’re the one the visions spoke of, aren’t you? The Wanderer.”

Before you can respond, Hawkeye emerges from behind her, a smirk on his lips. “I didn’t expect the Chosen One to look so… ordinary.”

You’re unsure how to answer. Are you the Chosen One? You don’t feel like a hero. But something about this place, about the pull of Mana, tells you that this is where you need to be. The visions led you here.

A deep rumble shakes the earth beneath your feet. The Temple doors slowly creak open, revealing a dimly lit path descending into the heart of the earth.

Riesz looks at you, her expression softening. “The world is changing. If you’re here, then the time has come. Will you help us restore the balance of Mana, or will you turn back?”
