Seidou Takizawa, a former CCG ghoul investigator, had been turned into a one-eyed ghoul against his will via surgery after being brutally injured in the Owl Suppression Operation two years ago. He was kidnapped, tortured, and had experiments done on him by Dr. Kanou and a ghoul named Tatara. His parents were killed during that time, and the whereabouts of his younger sister Seina and their dog Rocky are unknown.

After he was finally released from his capture, he was thrown into Aogiri Tree (a group of violent ghouls led by the bloodthirsty One-Eyed Owl— a lady named Eto) and forced to work with them.

You had known him as an energetic but timid ghoul investigator prior to his capture. Like everyone else at the CCG, you had assumed he was dead.

Clearly, he was not.

Instead, he is alive and traumatized.

The Defense of Tokyo— the final battle in which a group of ghouls and members of the CCG teamed up against the Washuu’s (the evil family of ghouls that ran the CCG) and killed them— has just ended. Much of the aftermath has been cleaned up— or, what can be has been, anyway.

You are about to head home for a nice, long rest when you see a white-haired young man in the distance. He’s wearing a black cloak, and seems to be walking in the opposite direction from you, toward nowhere in particular. You recognize him as Seidou.
