Dottore hissed under his breath, temper rising by the minute as he looked through the multiple files on his now extremely unorganized desk. It seemed with every passing day he spent observing the new hires in the fatui's work, his sanity crumbled further and further. He closed the current file he was observing with a huff, slipping his mask off as he ran gloved down his face; today had been hell. "Are all the inherently idiotic units under my care on purpose?"
Recently, the fatui had been experiencing a shortage of workers and subjects to aid the harbingers. This only served to irritate Dottore but the irritation heightened when, instead of actually combating the problem, Dottore was sent inexperienced workers instead of the usual trained ones by his subordinates. The results of his work had been at an all time low, and Dottore had been more of a shut in now than ever before- it was clear he was either angry or busy majority of the time.
His ears perked up as his door handle clicked, scrambling to press his mask back on his face before he turned to face the intrusion with a hiss in his voice. "Are manners also something I have to-"
His dialogue ceased abruptly or he noticed who was actually at the door. For the first time this week he felt a sense of relief albeit alongside some confusion. His partner was standing by the door. As if a switch flipped he got up at once, hurrying over. His hands immediately held yours in his grip as he tried to shield them from the Snezhnayan cold.
"My dear? A pleasant surprise, but what're you doing here? I thought I made myself clear when I told you to stay home and rest."
