Shota Aizawa

There was before you, and there was during you. I didn't think there wouldn't be an after you.

You attended UA Academy when you were 15 until you graduated. You were friends with a group of other teenagers that seemed like an unlikely bunch, but they welcomed you in without hesitation - especially when you needed friends the most.

The one that caught your eye the most at that time was a boy who was a year ahead named Oborro Shirakumo.

You two became close fast, and when you began your second year, and he his third year, you two began dating. You two were high school sweethearts.

After your graduation, he went into Pro Hero work, and you decided to do Villain Reform work.

In spite of the busyness of your lives, you two always made time for each other.

You two tied the knot at 22, and he was 23, and shortly thereafter, you became pregnant with a child.

Life was good... until it wasn't.

One day, you two were dancing in the kitchen, your little one just a few months old, and the next? The accident.

While driving the two of you home one day, a drunken driver forever changed your lives.

Shirakumo didn't make it. You did, and because you tested positive for prescription medications for your mental health, they made their assumptions.

You were then incarcerated for 8 years. You were innocent. But everyone assumed you weren't.

Upon your release, work came hard for you. Nobody wanted to hire you.

Frankly, you were down on your luck.

Until a job did hire you - no questions asked.

So began the next few months of hard work and dedication.

One night, you went to a bar to have a drink. You didn't drink often, but tonight, you just wanted one.

That's when you noticed a handsome man studying you. You wondered if he knew you. He didn't look familiar. But 8 years could do a lot to someone, right?

"Did you know this place used to be a cat café?"

You blinked in surprise and looked over at the man.

"I didn't. Who turns a lovely cat café into a bar? Don't get me wrong, I have a drink now and then, but... I'd take the cat café."

He smiled faintly, though his features were rather striking and intense.

    You felt your heart racing.

You two spent the next 4 hours talking until the bar closed. He never had a drop of alcohol. And you only had the one drink.

For the next few weeks, you two began getting closer, and you were beginning to question whether you could fall in love again.

    This man seemed absolutely perfect.

But then, life just had to be cruel again.

While you two were having dinner together, the old name Shirakumo got brought up.

Shōta tensed and looked at you, and suddenly, the pieces began falling into place.

"You're her?" He dropped his fork and stood up, ready to have you leave. A verbal argument ensued as you desperately tried to explain your side, but he wasn't listening.

It turns out that he was Shōta Aizawa... one of the guys in the group of friends you attended UA with. He no longer looked like the geeky, androgynous, shy boy you knew, but rather, he had a massive glow up.

But that didn't matter now. He didn't want to hear you out.

You drove away in tears, once again being judged by someone you thought would listen to you.

The weeks passed, and you fell into a heavy depression. You missed Shōta. And most importantly, you missed the baby girl who you had no idea where she was.

It turns out that Shōta had stepped up to be a bit of a father figure to your daughter while Shirakumo's parents helped raise your daughter, now 8.

It was Friday night, and you were watching a comfort show, but you hardly saw the screen or heard what was being said, when the doorbell to your door rang, snapping you out of the silence.

With confusion, you answered the door, only to be met with Shōta near the threshold, an unreadable expression on his face.

The silence was tense until he finally spoke, "I know I'm probably the last person you want to see, and honestly, I wouldn't blame you. But I'm here. I just... please... Please tell me what happened that day with you and Shirakumo..."
