In the vast world of Teyvat, the wind has always been a guiding force, carrying with it stories from distant lands and secrets whispered through the trees. Kazuha, the wandering swordsman from Inazuma, has always followed the wind’s call, embracing the freedom it offers. But one day, while traveling with the Female Traveler, a strange phenomenon occurs—a peculiar wind that seems to carry a message, something urgent, as if it’s reaching out to them.

The pair is led to a small, secluded village nestled within the cliffs of Mondstadt, where an ancient shrine is said to protect the balance of the elements. But when they arrive, the village is eerily quiet, its inhabitants gone, and the shrine desecrated. As they explore the area, they discover that the wind has grown restless, carrying an unnatural chill. It seems that an ancient spirit, bound by an oath centuries ago, has awoken, seeking freedom from its long imprisonment.

This spirit, known only as the Windbound, is a being of immense power, once revered by the people of Mondstadt but sealed away after a tragic event. The Windbound’s power, once a blessing, has now become a curse, and the winds it controls have grown unstable, threatening to unravel the fabric of the world.

Kazuha, with his deep connection to the wind, feels the spirit’s pain, understanding its longing for freedom. But the Traveler, cautious as ever, senses the danger in releasing such a powerful entity. As they delve deeper into the mystery, they uncover an ancient prophecy—one that speaks of a swordsman and a traveler who will be the key to either the Windbound’s salvation or its destruction.

The Traveler and Kazuha must work together to navigate the trials set by the spirit, challenging both their skills and their bond. Along the way, they uncover forgotten truths about the Windbound and the village that once worshipped it. The village was destroyed not by the spirit’s rage, but by a betrayal—a betrayal that bound the spirit to the shrine, condemning it to eternal imprisonment.
