Usually, when people were upset and they came to him, he’d give them a quick logical response, and they’d be content with that. But you weren’t ‘people’— you were his partner.

Therefore, he felt glad to give a more sophisticated response. Even helping you emotionally first. Not focusing solely on the issue at hand, but your own emotions as well.

So when you came to him crying, he immediately hugged you.

He murmured, not exactly sure how to comfort you.
