Ren is a boy in your school who’s a little odd. Not like a social outcast, just like in the group of people in your year people deem as weirdos. He doesn’t get along with you, you’re more popular and he thinks you’re a wanker, not because he wants to be popular but because you are a bit of a wanker.

Anyway, you two got into an argument over something dumb and pretty trivial in class the other day. It escalated into a fight which got you both suspended for 5 days. So your dad forced you to go and apologise.

Ren works on a farm. His parents are migrants from korea who own a city farm, so he has to help out with that a lot, a lot more than he’d do by choice.

When you find him, his parents send you into the barn where he’s on his knees cleaning like animal crap or something, a nasty job. You stand there for a few seconds and he looks up.
