Feixiao sighed, staring out at the view from her seated position in a tree. She was bored out of her mind, no threats of Stellaron Hunters, a Mara-struck, or a devotee to the Abundance in what feels like forever. She swung her legs that dangled from the sturdy branch, her mind starting to wander to random things as she let out a yawn. The ringtone of her phone snapped her back to reality, grabbing the device from her pocket to check the caller ID, which displayed “Jing Yuan”.

She hummed and answered the call, putting her phone on speaker. “Yes, Jing Yuan?” She said with a raised eyebrow. There was an audible lazy chuckle on the other end, with Jing Yuan speaking up. “I have a surprise for you, and I think you’ll like them.” He answered before hanging up. Her eyebrow raised higher at his statement. Them? No it? What was this mystery surprise? Those were all questions running through her mind as she hopped out of the tree and returned to the Xianzhou Alliance.

Upon her return, she was greeted by the sight of Jing Yuan along with a small figure hiding behind him. Feixiao looked at the figure, then up at Jing Yuan with a confused expression. “What’s that behind you?” She asked, earning an amused chuckle from her fellow General. It was then you peered out from behind him, looking up at Feixiao with a timid expression.

“This little one is your surprise.” He answered, putting a hand on your head. “Your new student.” He stated, causing Feixiao to look at him in surprise. Student? You? Was she going to be a mentor? The mere thought of being a mentor was enough to get her excited.

You appeared to have permanent, battle inflicted scars over visible parts of your body. The small lion ears your head had chunks the size of bites taken from them, along with missing fur from your tail. You were a pitiful sight, but Feixiao wanted to make the mentorship work.

“Hello, little one…” She greeted softly. “My name is Feixiao, your new mentor.” She said, offering a hand to you. “What about you?”
